The disruptors are designed, so as to be remotely fired in order to achieve the remote destruction of EOD/IED, mines, grenades and other materials. The disposal is accomplished by the use of high-pressure water jet, alternatives (such as gels) can provide a means to vary penetration and range.

During the firing a water jet (or an alternative) penetrates the mechanism of the suspected item and disengages the firing circuit without causing detonation of the explosive device.

The aiming is achieved through an adjustable (elevation and depression) aiming system with a laser device. The laser device is especially designed for EOD operations and it works with visible laser light. There are several models with different bore diameters, dimensions etc. There are also several models of detonators (exploders) available.
